Do you ever just get worn down after a long week? And the next thing you know your anxiety is back up? It’s so important to do check-ins with yourself and your mental health. Recently, I’ve been going through many changes in my life, all good things, but sometimes I like to take inventory of who and what I’m surrounding myself with and giving my energy to.
It’s important because I don’t have a lot of extra energy to spare as a new mom. I decided that I needed a detox—both internally and externally. When it came to my body, I found this charcoal detox bath salt that helps detoxify while reducing stress, tension, and inflammation. Then, I took a look at what was causing drama or negativity in my life, and listed what (and who) I needed to take a step back from.
It’s important, well vital actually, to look at who has good intentions and who’s a bit more questionable. People can wish you the best day in and day out, but that doesn’t mean they actually mean it.
And then of course I did some little routine tweaks here and there. I bought myself the Sakara Beauty Drops, because I’d been dying to try them after seeing them all over Instagram. I also stocked up on some detox drops that a friend recommended too. The Beauty Drops have trace minerals for your water that help flush out toxins and support collagen to make your skin glow. On the other hand, the detox drops have chlorophyll that binds to heavy metals and helps maintain healthy bacteria for optimal digestion.
Sure, everyone’s situation is unique but I know that when I’m stuck in a rut, I need to analyze several different factors in my life. There are times when I need a physical detox, digital detox, social detox, or all of the above. This time around was the latter. Remember, only you can give power to toxic things in your life, and it’s crucial to put yourself first and take your power back.
