As you all know, I recently started traveling again for the first time since the start of the pandemic. I’ll be honest, I was scared, like scared as f*ck, but I had to overcome that fear and trust that I was safe and being responsible. I have some travel rituals that I wanted to share with all of you since holiday travel will be here quicker than we know it. I hope these help ease up the stress before the next time you hop on a flight or train!
This is my own sanity. I need everything in my life to be as organized as possible and this just gives me a sense of relief. I hate forgetting things while traveling, especially the things I can’t just get up and buy somewhere else.
I am not a last-minute packer. This really gives me time to chill out a bit before actually jetting off and there’s some cushion room to add more things in my luggage as necessary. But if you have a baby on the other hand…pack FOUR days in advance. Just trust me!
I like to make sure I’m doing my meditation every morning leading up to traveling because it always brings on some anxiety. This only takes a few minutes and is a way to start my day anyway.
I bring Clorox wipes with me to wipe the seat and surrounding area down. And of course I have endless amounts of hand sanitizer and wear a mask the entire time I’m in the airport and on the plane.
Or to just digitally detox in general! I know sometimes we have to work on planes, but it shouldn’t be all the time.
I like to dab it on my wrist to ease the tension. It’s a little hint of zen for a very stressful environment.
