This upcoming Sunday is World Mental Health Day. I’ve always been open and honest with you all about my mental health journey, especially here on Frenshe. My goal with this platform has always been to create a safe space for these conversations on a topic that’s been considered ~taboo~ for far too long. We all have crappy mental health days—period.
Now, while World Mental Health Day is technically for holding leaders accountable and providing better (and more accessible) mental health resources for all, there are some things I like to do on my own when I’m not feeling 100%. These obviously aren’t meant to replace actual mental health help like therapy, evaluations, etc. but they’re great hacks for shifting your mindset at the last minute. Let me know what you like to do to unwind or give your thoughts a reset!
A walk outside (could be a hike or simply walking!)
Lighting my favorite candle
Opening the windows to change the energy
Taking a bath
Reading a book
Sitting with myself in my favorite part of the house
Don’t forget to honor World Mental Health Day this Sunday October 10.
