My Favorite Post-Pregnancy Smoothies for Starting My Day

06.08.2021 — Ashley Tisdale-French

As I mentioned before, my weight loss journey post-baby hasn’t been easy, but I’m committed to feeling great while also not being too hard on myself. Part of that is obviously working out and finally getting back in the gym after so many months. And yes, because I’m human, there are days I don’t feel like exercising. But, the endorphins I get after a workout make me so happy and it’s great for my mental health. On the other hand, I’ve really been enjoying finding some new recipes to try, especially for my morning smoothie. Having a morning smoothie has always been a big part of my lifestyle and it’s something I genuinely enjoy, and after pregnancy, that’s no different.

These new recipes have allowed me to reset how I approach my mornings, while not focusing on diet culture or pressuring myself to lose post-baby weight. Diets are a short-term thing, and my focus is always on living a healthier lifestyle. When I was pregnant I obviously allowed myself to eat whatever I wanted, whenever I wanted, so this is just a way for me to get back to my healthier routine full of the necessary nutrients my body needs after baby. Since a lot of you always ask what my go-to smoothies are, I wanted to do another post on a few of my favorites that I’m rotating right now. These are a great way to start the day before adding on some more protein, veggies, and good carbs throughout the rest of my meals. Remember it’s not a diet, it’s a lifestyle, and don’t be too hard on yourself!
