Foods to Protect Yourself from EMF Radiation

02.09.2021 — Neeyaz Neeyaz Zolfaghari

Let’s talk about EMF and radiation.

EMF (Electromagnetic Frequency) are invisible areas of energy that come from our technology. It is often referred to as radiation, which is an emission or transmission of energy in the form of waves or particles, through space or a material medium.

There are two types of electromagnetic frequency:

  1. Non-ionizing, which emit low levels of radiation

  2. Ionizing, which emit higher levels of radiation

These two types are then broken down into four types of radiation:

  1. Electromagnetic: these come from radio waves for television, microwaves, thermal radiation, infrared, cosmic background, UV and x-rays

  2. Acoustic: sound waves

  3. Particle: alpha and beta, neutron in stars, and man-made nuclear reactors, such as ones from a power plant

  4. Gravitational: space-time, visible spectrum, and wireless technology

Of all the tangible products in our life that emit radiation, our cell phones are likely the strongest source of EMF in our lives. We carry it around with us all day, even when it is not in use. These close-range radiation pulses go into our bodies, and even in standby mode, signals are being sent and received constantly. There are over 140 proteins in our brain alone that are negatively impacted by exposure to EMF, the exact kinds emitted by our cell phones and other electronic devices such as laptops, tablets, Bluetooth headphones, and smartwatches.

While the information is overwhelming, there are a handful of things that you can do to help limit your exposure to EMF and protect yourself. One of the best ways is through nutrition and the foods you eat. Mother Nature provides us with the most accessible and best form of medicine year round! Foods rich in omega 3 fatty acids, vitamin C, zinc, vitamin E, selenium, glutathione, and melatonin are all supportive.

These foods include:

  • Almonds
  • Broccoli
  • Cherries
  • Sunflower seeds
  • Flaxseed
  • Kiwi
  • Oranges
  • Wild-caught salmon
  • Spinach
  • Mushrooms (especially chaga)
  • Strawberries

Certain herbs and spices also help to remove heavy metals from our bodies, including cilantro and garlic. When buying fresh produce, choose organic whenever possible (especially for those on the Dirty Dozen). Organic produce has twice the nutritional mineral content and less heavy metal residue, versus conventional. Bone broth holds a robust amount of benefits for our bodies, including its high levels of glutathione, the most powerful antioxidant and key for both defense and efficient detox.

Additionally, drink more water! EMF dehydrates the body and our bodies cannot naturally detoxify efficiently without free-flowing liquids.
