Growing up in an immigrant household, my idea of wellness was fairly limited and a lot different than it is now.
The hardest part of my wellness journey has been learning how to slow down and take more time for myself. I’ve learned that I need to create more space for myself to be alone and reflect instead of just jumping into the next thing.
Anytime my body feels like it’s being attacked, I set a boundary. The body is the vehicle for my art, so I have to be very caring and considerate of it.
